Hey Mon! We're back from nine days in Jamaica for Scott and Keri's wedding. My little blog helper, Addie, is going to give me the captions for the first day's pictures below. Enjoy!
Hey Mon! We're taking off for Jamaica! We took an early morning flight, so we'd have a full day at the resort.
Graham, Uncle Scott and soon-to-be Aunt Keri huddled together.
Brian, PopPop and MomMom sat together across the aisle from us.
Cutest row in the airplane, clearly.
Addie's so tired she has to sit down...and we've just arrived in the Jamaican airport!!
On the bus heading to the resort. Hilton Rose Hall here we come!
Ben is so tired, he missed a good tour of Montego Bay.
We checked into the resort and headed up to our room. This is the beautiful view from our balcony. That's the Caribbean Sea.
The pool and Sea right next to each other. Pretty impressive, right?
We settled into our bathing suits and headed to the beach. Then we went to the water park.
Sleepy Ben, sleepy Ben. Dinner couldn't even keep him awake.snoooooore
Daddy and Addie cutting a rug listening to the Jamaican band after dinner.
The pool is so beautiful at nighttime. Don't worry, we got to go in there at night.
Hermit crab races coming our way! It's a Jamaican tradition to actually bet on hermit crabs based on the color of their shell. The caller drew a circle with chalk, and dumped all the hermit crabs into the circle. Then he uncovered them and he started a play-by-play about which crab was going to crawl to the outside circle first. "Yellow, yellow, no red, red is coming down the home stretch." It was so funny. For a minute we didn't know what they were doing. It was actual betting and exchanging of money going on! We didn't win.
After the excitement of the hermit crab races, we headed to bed. As soon as their heads hit the pillow, Addie and Ben were out! Amy, Rosetta and Molly made the trip too.
Overall a great first day in paradise!
