This afternoon I told Addie and Ben that a special guest was coming over and to be ready. They asked about a billion questions to try to figure out who it could be. Ultimately, they waited so patiently on the front steps, as in the picture below.
Finally, Addie's classmate Elijah G and his brother and parents walked up. They live 4 blocks away from us, and it was their first time at our house.
You can see the scarecrow we made today above as well. And if you click on the picture, you can see hanging from the lantern a bat. Ben LOVES the fact that that bat is there to greet guests.
