Benjamin's 6th birthday party was on the Wilmington Western Rail Road, the same location as Muddy's surprise 60th a few years ago.
Here are Addie, Brandon, Samuel, Izzy and Benjamin up in the cupola. The kids loved the train ride.Being the birthday boy has some perks, mainly getting to wear the Brake Man's hat.
His friends arriving with their loot.
Hmmm, Uncle Tom and birthday Benjamin precariously standing next to the cheese curls...hmmm.
Two November 7th birthday boys. Guppy just turned 73 and Ben turned 6. This train ride is when things for Guppy took a turn for the worse.
One of the best parts of this birthday celebration was that Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Amanda made it down to celebrate as a whole family. We had a suspicion that Guppy wouldn't be around to meet Avett, so we took some special pictures with him in Aunt Amanda's belly so as he gets older he'll know how much Guppy loved him.
"Look at that big ole belly!" is what Guppy is thinking in this picture.
Aunt Wendy and Muddy cuddled up on the ride.
Blowing out the candles. It was a little windy.
Benjamin with his Words with Friends cake that I made. Cool details about it: The score box read "Ben 11 Nourie 07 Words left 06" for his birthdate of 11.7.06.
The final picture of Guppy with Muddy and their kids. Words can't express how glad I am that we took this picture (actually have 4 of this same pose!) I'm so grateful that everyone made it into town to celebrate together.
Benjamin did open some presents too. I love how Addie and Izzy are peering over the envelope to catch a glimpse.
Guppy and Muddy at the end of the ride. Guppy was headed to the hospital after this trip.
Uncle Tom not so stealthily photo-bombing our picture.

Ooh! This seems like a lot of fun. The cake is amazing and I am sure would have been delicious too. This place looks somewhat like one of the Los Angeles venues where we just celebrated my nephew’s birthday. We had a pirate theme and everybody wore the eye cap. It was pretty cool.
