Tennis lessons

Addie and Ben began tennis lessons tonight. It's by a group called MyServe and it's an hour long class for six weeks.
We got there just as Coach Eddie was setting up. I took a picture of them and realized I still had the fishbowl lens on!
So I took another one and got this incredibly sweet picture.
The girl on the left is Ben's BFF Autumn. To Addie's right is Autumn's brother. This was the forehand pose.
Look at Addie!! I love this! You can tell she was doing what she was supposed to and it looked so good!

Ready pose. There are only six kids in the class, which was great.
For the first ten minutes they did footwork. Then they moved onto ready pose, forehand, two-handed backhand and finally volley; all within an hour. They both loved it. The Coach said each week now they'll work on refining what they learned today with lots of repetition. I think they will have tremendous growth in the six weeks.
At this point Ben is still interested in whacking the ball as hard as he can. At one point he hit the forehand so hard, the ball flew through the air and he ran over to say "that almost hit the light" which was rather impressive considering we were in a school gymnasium! He'll work on refining his stroke and he'll be great. Addie listens really well and gets the form down without a problem. She'll improve by focusing on connecting with the ball and swinging a little earlier.
I have videos too, of course!

Is Addie actually airborne in the action shot? It looks like tons of fun for both of them!
